Coach Robinson returns for his ninth year at Great Oak. This will be his ninth season as the Varsity Head Coach, and his 29th season coaching high school football. Prior to coming to GOHS, he coached at Westminster High School, Vista (San Diego) High School, and Chaparral High School. He has been fortunate enough to coach in thirteen CIF Semi-Finals, eight CIF Title games, and five teams that he has coached have been CIF Champions. Coach Robinson resides in Temecula with his amazing wife Cindy and son Drew (16). His daughter Megan (19) is currently serving as a Corpsman in the United States Navy. Coach Robinson has twenty-three years in the classroom and currently teaches Economics at GOHS.
Assistant Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, Defensive Line
Coach Ramirez coached at Moreau Catholic High School (Hayward, CA) from 1996-1999 and at Mount Eden High School (Hayward, Ca) from 2000-2005, serving as Varsity Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers/Running Backs Coach at both schools. Coach Ramirez began coaching at Great Oak High School in 2006. Her served as Junior Varsity Defensive Coordinator (2006-2009) and coached JV Linebackers, Defensive Line, and Offensive Line. He also assisted with Varsity Defensive Backs (2006) and coached the Varsity Defensive Line (2007-2008). Coach Ramirez served as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator from 2010-2012, before volunteering to serve as the Head Frosh Football Coach in 2013. Coach Ramirez is a teacher in the GOHS Social Science Department and AVID program. He lives in Temecula.
Offensive Coordinator, Wide Receivers
Coach Gregovich returns for his 2nd season on the GOHS Varsity staff and his 20th season coaching football. Prior to joining the Wolfpack, Dennis has coached quarterbacks at Mt. San Jacinto Junior College, and served as the Head Coach at Tahquitz High School (where he led the Titans to 3 consecutive CIF playoff appearances- including a CIF Semi-Final appearance). Coach Gregovich is a graduate of SDSU and currently teaches PE in the Hemet School District. Coach lives in Temecula with his wife Tabitha and their three kids- Robbie, Olivia, and Payton.
Coach Jensen is returning for his 3rd season on the staff at Great Oak. Coach Jensen has over 20 years of high school coaching experience. He has been a Head Coach, Coordinator, and has been an Athletic Director. Four teams coached by Coach Jensen have won a CIF Championship. Over a dozen Linebackers coached by Coach Jensen have received scholarships. Coach lives in Canyon Lake with his wife Jeanene and son Marcus.
Coach Green returns for his 6th season with the Wolfpack. He was a 3 year starting QB for Seneca High School in Louisville, KY helping them achieve the school’s first state #1 ranking ever in 2003. Coach Green joined the Marines immediately after high school and served 3 tours in Iraq. During the third deployment he was injured overseas and was later medically discharged from the USMC in 2012. He recently received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
Coach Barney is in his 4th year coaching at Great Oak. This will be his third season as a Varsity Coach working with the Safety’s and Hybrids on Defense. In 2014 he led the GO Freshman Team to a 9-1 record. Coach Barney is in his 13th year of coaching football. Prior to joining the Great Oak staff, Coach Barney spent his first 9 seasons coaching for Temecula Valley Pop Warner. During his time coaching youth football he led his team to two Conference Championships, a Regional Championship, and competed in Florida for a National Championship where his team finished third in the nation. Coach Barney has been a Temecula resident for over 20 years with his wife Mary, daughter Megan (20) and son CJ (17).
Coach Dress enters his 13th year as a coach at Great Oak High School, serving as Freshman Running Backs and Special Teams Coach (2005), Junior Varsity Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator (2006-2009) and Varsity Tight Ends Coach (2006). Coach Dress served as the Varsity Wide Receiver Coach from 2011-2012. He was the Junior Varsity Head Coach for the 2014 season. Coach Dress is a teacher in the GOHS Special Ed Department. He lives in Temecula with his wife, Michelle and his awesome dogs!
Coach Bennett returns to Great Oak High School as the Varsity and Junior Varsity Running Backs Coach. He spent 2 years with Culver City High School as the Varsity Offensive Coordinator, and 11 years as the Junior Varsity Head Coach, and 6 years as the Varsity Running Backs Coach. Culver’s Varsity Team was the 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 Ocean League champions, and took second place Division IV CIF Southern Section. In 1998, Coach Bennett coached at Santa Monica High School as the Varsity QB/Receivers and Defensive Ends Coach. In 1993-1994 he was the Varsity Receiver Coach for the 1993 Los Angeles City Champion Carson High School football team. In 1992 he was St. Bernard’s High School Varsity Running Back and JV Head Coach. Coach Bennett is in his 5th year with the Great Oak High School coaching staff as the Varsity and Junior Varsity Running Backs Coach. He and his lovely wife Saadia reside in Hemet, California.
Coach Miser returns for his 6th full year in the GOHS program, his 5th year on the Varsity staff. Coach Miser came to GOHS from a rival high school following the 2010 football season. After spending 28 years as a fireman/paramedic for the city of San Diego, Coach Miser is now living out his second childhood dream as a high school football coach and part of a great family at GOHS. Coach Miser lives just down the street from GOHS with his beautiful wife of 29 years (Annie), and three teenage children who are all in as a part of the Wolfpack family.
Coach Armand has been coaching high school football for 20 years. He is in his 3rd season at GOHS. Coach Armand has previously coached in the north county San Diego section. He has coached both offense and defensive sides of the ball but has returned to his first love as the offensive line coach. Coach Armand grew up in Orange County and played football at ASU. After college, he played minor league football including Arena football for 2 years. Jim is married to his wife Teresa and resides in San Marcos.
Defensive Backs/ Special Teams
Coach Gatson is a Temecula native and received his diploma from Temecula Valley High School in 2006 where he was an All-League, All-Valley Selection. After high school, Elzie received a full athletic scholarship to Humboldt State University where he was a Two Time All Conference and All Region cornerback. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, he then took his talents to coaching and continued this career as the Defensive Back coach for Humboldt State University from 2010-2013. Since 2013, Elzie has been applying Sports Performance Training and education to local athletes and has worked with youth, collegiate, CFL, international, and NFL athletes.
Kicking Coach/ JV Head Coach
Mike Toner is in his 3rd year coaching for the Wolfpack. Mike was the Freshman Offensive Coordinator for the past two years and will be taking on the role of JV Head Coach as well as Varsity Kicking Coach for the 2017 season. Mike is in his 9th year of coaching football and is also a teacher in the district. He spent his first six years coaching the youth of Temecula, Murrieta, and Menifee. Mike lives in Temecula with his wife Angel, daughter Michaela, and son Preston.
Linebackers/ JV Defensive Coordinator
This is Coach Johnson’s third year coaching the Wolfpack and wiil coach linebackers and serve as the JV Defensive Coordinator for the upcoming season. He is from Yuma, AZ., and has been coaching athletics for 16 years. Wally was a high school football coach in Arizona for 4 years before moving to Temecula. Coach Johnson lives in Temecula with his wife and children.
Offensive Line/ JV Offensive Coordinator
Coach Love returns for his 3rd season coaching the Wolfpack. Nick is a graduate of GOHS in 2010 and returned to GOHS after finishing college, where he has spent the last two seasons working with the offensive and defensive lines. This year, Nick will add the title of JV Offensive Coordinator to his duties. Nick lives in Temecula.
Coach Etheridge is a 2012 graduate of GOHS. He has coached several years of youth football locally and served as the Frosh Offensive Coordinator at Paloma Valley High School in 2016. Zach returns home to GOHS to join the JV football staff as Passing Game Coordinator and wide receiver coach. Zach lives in Temecula.
Offensive/ Defensive Line
Coach Lucas is a 2015 graduate of GOHS and is in his 3rd season coaching football for the Wolfpack. Chris has spent the last 2 seasons serving as the Frosh Offensive line coach, before being brought up this season to work with the JV lines. Chris is currently working on his degree and lives in Temecula.
Coach Seidler returns for his 3rd season on the GOHS football staff. He will coaching defensive line this season. He lives in Temecula with his wife Maria and their children.
